National Fertilizers Limited, Bathinda Unit invites applications from Indian Nationals for one
unreserved post of Staff Nurse in the Pay Scale of Rs. 4550-80-5670 (pre-revised) plus other
allowances as per rules of the Company. The recruitment specifications for the post are: -
The Candidate must possess Gr. 'A' Certificate in Nursing. Must have their names borne on any of the
State Nursing Register. Midwifery Trained Nurses and those having experience in Operation Theatre
will be given preference.
NOTE: Certificate / Diploma should be recognised by Govt. of India.
Age Limit:
Minimum 18, Maximum 30 years as on 31.08.2009 (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for
OBC and 10 years for Physically Handicapped and for Ex-Servicemen as per Govt. of India
Directives).
In addition to Basic pay and Industrial DA, the posts carry the benefits of Employees Provident Fund,
Gratuity, EPS, Leave Encashment, Housing/HRA facilities, Production Incentive, Medical facilities,
Coverage under Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme, LTE, LTC and other Perks/Allowances
etc. as per rules of the Company.
SELECTION METHOD:
In case the number of applications received is large, Management may at its discretion conduct a
common written test to short-list candidates. No TA will be paid for appearing in the written test.
The Candidates so short-listed will be called for interview for which reimbursement of to and fro
single 2nd Class Rail/Bus fare from the nearest railway station of the mailing address to the place of
interview by the shortest route will be allowed on production of necessary proof. The selected
candidates before joining will be required to get Medical Fitness Certificate from Civil
Surgeon/NFL’s Hospital and also subject to verification of character & antecedents from the
concerned District Authorities. The selected candidates on joining can be posted in any
Office/Unit/Division of NFL in India with initial posting at Bathinda.
General Instructions:
DEGREE OF DISABILITY FOR RESERVATION:
Only such persons would be eligible for reservation to the posts who suffer from not less than 40% of
relevant disability for which a Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the
prescribed Format should be attached. Hearing impairment means loss of sixty decibels or more in
the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies.
For claiming the benefit of SC, OBC category, the candidate should submit a copy of the original
Caste Certificate attested by Gazetted Officer, in the Proforma prescribed by Govt. of India. Further,
for claiming the benefit of OBC, the Caste Certificate in the Prescribed Proforma to be submitted
should specifically mention that the candidate does not belong to the persons/sections (creamy layer)
as mentioned in Column 3 of the Schedule to the Govt. of India, Deptt. of Personnel & Training O.M.
No. 36012/22/93-Estt (SCT) dated 09.08.1993.
The post being in Group C is primarily meant to be filled up on regional basis,
therefore, candidates who are bonafide resident of Punjab State though residing in other
parts of the country are also eligible to apply.

Candidates working in Govt. Depts. /Public Sector Undertakings are required to apply through proper

The Management reserves the right to call for Interview only those candidates who in its opinion are
likely to be suitable and will not entertain any correspondence from candidates in respect of their

Qualification & Experience :
Dy. Manager (Civil) : Degree in Civil Engineering
with atleast 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ST). Minimum 9 years
experience in responsible position in construction of important
works such as Heavy R.C.C. Structures, Plant buildings and machine
foundation of Heavy Chemical Industry, industrial building, water
supply, sewerage etc. Candidates should be well versed in latest
techniques of planning and scheduling of construction activities
in a big Project.
For Sr. Medical Officer : Minimum 6 years
experience after acquiring MBBS degree recognized by IMC with
60% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/OBC) including atleast 2 years
in speciality i.e. Medicine or minimum 3 years experience after
